THE STORY
A leaf, wide and low, curling at one end into a backrest and a foot. Put it in ten centimetres of pool water or on a dry deck; it does not care.
There is no frame inside to corrode, no fabric to rot, and the shell geometry has no pocket where water can sit. A sun lounger normally dies from the inside — the sling goes, the aluminium pits, the strapping stretches. The Tide Lounger is one piece of laminate with nothing inside it to fail.
It nests four high in a container, which cuts the per-unit shipping cost by roughly half. That is the number a beach club manager notices first. The second thing they notice is that it can be hosed down, dragged into the shallows and left there.
WHY FIBERGLASS
Zero-water-trap shell, no frame to corrode, no fabric to rot. Nesting geometry cuts container cost per unit by roughly half.
