Sweep Bench
One continuous sweep from floor to seat and back down. No leg, no joint, no visible fastener — the bench is its own structure.

THE STORY
The Sweep Bench began as a refusal. A bench is usually a plank and four legs, or a slab and two. We wanted the plank to be the legs — one line that leaves the floor, rises to a seat, and returns to the floor without ever changing material or breaking its surface.
In timber that line snaps at the bend. In steel it needs a skin to hide the welds. In laminated fibreglass the bend is where the strength lives. The bench is a monocoque: the shell carries the load the way an aircraft fuselage does, through its skin rather than a frame. At 1.9 metres and 34 kilograms it takes three adults and still lifts with one hand.
There is no fastener because there is nothing to fasten. It arrives in a single crate, sits on any floor, and asks for nothing. Satin finish by default, so the sweep reads as a shape and not as a reflection.
WHY FIBERGLASS
The cantilevered sweep only works as a laminated monocoque: no timber or steel version reaches this wall thickness-to-span ratio at 34 kg.
