THE STORY
A stone slab on three stub feet. That is the whole design, and the whole design is a freight problem in any material except this one.
The top is a single mould pull with a hand-formed edge, finished in a honed, aggregate-loaded stone-effect coat in travertine or basalt tones. Three bolt-on feet attach from below. The top weighs 19 kilograms and the piece flat-packs into two cartons that go by parcel courier — a real stone top of this footprint is 180 kilograms and needs a pallet, a forklift and a floor that can take it.
It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. On a covered terrace it reads as limestone; in a living room it reads as the quietest thing there. Our most affordable Tier 2 piece and, for many buyers, their first Kolayfiber.
WHY FIBERGLASS
